A minimum jail sentence will be set in December.
How long does this bloke deserve? How long will he get?

I would give him a medal and a bunch of flowers as a thank you for killing a scrot that would have killed him given half a chance but he will get 10 years plus.

Think he'll get life and as much as it pains me to say it; probably deservedly so.

Having a number of ex Royal Marines in the family, I'm more gutted by any damage inflicted on our forces' reputation than the death of some stinking mutt in the back of beyond; but I suppose you can't leave the execution of a defenceless enemy combatant unanswered if you want to maintain any kind of moral superiority over these animals.

Most of us wont have a clue what its like to be in combat, with some bloke trying to kill you. If he is the enemy does it really matter how he gets killed? I don't think there's any doubt that if the roles were reversed our bloke would have been killed and no one would ever have known about it.

If a member of his crew accidently filmed him saying that he just broke the Geneva Convention he will totally accept he is getting life. You need accountability in all walks of life or you just have anarchy.

This just abouts sums it up although I feel dirty saying it. I work with quite a few ex-militery and they all say he should have made sure the camera was switched off then no-one would have been the wiser.
