See copy and paste from BBC Football Gossip column;

Grays Athletic player-manager Mark Bentley led by example when he came off the bench to score the equaliser in a Ryman Premier League match against Hampton and Richmond Borough before going in goal and saving a penalty after his keeper was sent off. His side went on to win 3-2. :omg:

Try to keep up :winking:

Ok Mick....fair play....saw it this morning on the Beeb...and thought I'd share the love......"duplication is better than not at all" :whistling: ??

top player I can remember his goal v darlington think it was his first home game

Yep, a good solid SUFC 100 percenter.

Think he struggled when they tried playing him out wide, but in central midfield with Kevin Maher, they worked well and he scored plenty of goals from there.

Something we really lack this season.

One of the harshest sending offs ever , away at Layer Road under the dimly lit floodlights. Bentley was bursting through midfield on a typical surging run with the ball , and a Col Ewe player ( might have been that rascal Karl Duguid ) took him out with a knee high studs up lunge that started a good 10 yards away , but as gravity took control of Bentley's body he came to ground on top of the terrible tackler. The poorer Essex sides' players all made a big issue of this and Bentley was straight red carded yet the scumbag wearing the Tesco carrier bag outfit got away scot free. Outrageous.

Resigned as manager of Grays to focus on his badges and progress, some saying he might be involved with whoever takes over at Orient where he was coaching some of the youth team previously
