Telextext page 395 on the BBC shows that Mark Warren has left newly promoted BS Premier club King's Lynn.

Warren was captain and was offered reduced terms to stay on despite his club winning promotion to the BS Premier for the first time in the club's history.

Warren said; "I would have stayed on if the offer on the table was realistic."

Yeah I always liked Mark Warren if we did not have Maher I would have either had him or Searle as Captain
I remember that goal he scored against Swansea at the Vetch Field when we had 9 or 8 men on the pitch? and we still scored!

It was 8 - he had just come on as a sub so was near the half way line when the ball broke forward - it was (I think) his first touch, and I was once told that this is the only time that a team down to 8 players has scored, but I'm sure someone will correct me.

Warren is a Sir Adam style player, and I wish him well.

I think Broughton came down the wing and hit it low Roger Freestone dived and saved it with his legs and it rolled to Warren who belted it!

Corrected. At least I think that's the case.

I remember a class piece of defending where somebody was about to take a shot only for Mark Warren to dive and put he's head in front of the ball. I bet he had a headache after that.

I still remember him getting sent off at Canvey in the Fa Cup which was on Sky, Pikey basher lol.

Still Remember Jay Smith's screamer in that game aswell :)

So just to summarise everyone remebers Mark Warren for his acts of violence against our rivals rather than anything footballing....

Not knocking that but not really the way forward.....

I'm with you, Dave. I thought Warren was awful - his heading was dire for a centre-back, his distribution made Peter Clarke look like Franz Beckenbauer and his tackling was rash.

In fairness, he gave it his all in a Blues' shirt, which made him the semi cult hero he is amongst some fans but in my opinion he was extremely fortunate to have Leon Cort alongside him to clean up his errors.
