Hi

First match I can remember going to is Southend vs Chelsea at the hall sometime in the mid 70's - Went in a Chelsea supporter and came out a Southend United fan
The decades since then I've been going very sporadically until the last two seasons where I have been taking our football mad son to at least every Saturday home game (and my wife joins us occasionally) And actually by a coincidence of history his first match was Chelsea vs Southend at the bridge...
My son (now aged 10) was actually born in Liverpool (a few street away from Anfield) and supports both clubs and I think was possibly the only SUFC fan that didn't want *that* match to happen (so he didn't have to take sides...) . He also made me a very proud Dad last year by being spotted and invited to join SUFC's youth training system (who knows maybe the Shadow squad someday)
