We have until midday today to register any new permanent signings so they are eligible to face Fleetwood Town tomorrow.

So, if we want Jack Smith, Owen Garvan, Joe Pigott, Stephen McLaughin, Izale McLeod, the striker who is training with a Championship side to play against Fleetwood, expect to see some movement this morning.

However, we do have until midday tomorrow to register any new loan signings to face Fleetwood.

So, for example, we could sign Joe Pigott or Stephen McLaughin, on loan tomorrow morning, then complete their permanent transfer on Monday morning. We did something similar with Efe Sodje a few years back.

doesn't the deadline also relate to loan signings as well, I thought it did as you cannot register players on Saturday as the FA is closed, meaning paperwork cannot be completed so the registration isn't transfered

Didn't we sign Theo Robinson like, an hour before a game under Tilson?

No, both Britt & Theo, who were both signed on the day of a match, were completed before midday.

fbm is correct. Britt signed from Watford on loan on a Saturday morning and started against Stanley at home. A 1-0 defeat when a looping header caught out our loanee keeper Cam Belford. But Britt showed enough to mark him down as a goal threat.

I think the only one of those remotely possible is Pigott.

I can recall us picking up players on the coach on the way to a match before. The new signing hadn't even met any of the players before !

Brown said we'll go for another striker even if we have Pigott so I'd definitely take him as 3rd/4th choice :pig:
