Have to be brutally honest, Monty Python never did it for me. May have been my dad's influence, but the whole MP just passed me by. I did put my foot down with Fawlty Towers but I guess you are influenced a bit by what your parents think, and MP was banned in our house!

I loved this sketch from the very first series, episode 2.
 
Don't think I've watched any Python for 20+ years and I have to say, while there was obviously some outstanding stuff (dead Parrot etc), a lot of it left me cold and I've never felt the urge to revisit them. The Young Ones, and Vic & Bob are more my era.
 
I liked Mr Hilter, the resident of a B&B in the South West of England who would often been found in the lounge pouring over maps of England, moving Panzer tank divisions around with his friends Ron Vibbentrop and Mr Bimmler.
