Tonight we saw the answer, NO! NO! NO!, not from headers, shots, close range, poaching, 1 on1s, about as dangerous as a 6 week old kitten.
Maybe an advanced midfielder, but not a centre forward.

Cue Jonny_stokes giving it the 'told you so', trouble is tonight, he's right.

Don't usually come on here and slag our players off but this guy is a waste of space. How many times does this guy get caught offside!!

24 games, 4 goals, 2 of which were penalties, and 1 assist.

For context:
24 games (although many more as a sub), 5 goals, 2 assists for Pigott.
8 games, 2 goals, 1 assist for Hunt.
17 games, 1 goal, 2 assists for Weston.
12 games, 2 goals, 1 assist for Payne.

In what was an excellent 1st half performance it was clear that centre-forward is our weak link. We had a good tempo and created decent chances that never looked like they would be executed. Forwards should have at least one attribute that will cause defenders problems. This is usually strength (Akinfenwa), Aerial ability (Corr) or pace (Wayne Gray/Theo Robinson). I fear that Mooney, and Pigott too, both lack having that attribute that really is going to cause defenders problems.

Oh, and being terrible at finishing doesn't help much either.... :nope:
