Hardly a clash between League Two's form teams as we go into a match between two sides who have not got a single win in their last combined 19 matches. Does that point to a draw? If so that will be better than we've ever achieved there in the League with three defeats from three matches and even our only goal was a penalty.

The referee for tomorrow's match is Oliver Langford from Darlaston, near Walsall in the West Midlands. Timlin may as well sit this one out as Langford has cautioned him four times in the last three Southend matches he's refereed.

In his sixth season as a Football League referee, he has only refereed Southend five times before. First was the dreadful match (until the last minute anyway) at Leyton Orient in 2008/9. He didn't excel, but did better than the players. The second was the low-key paint thing at Milton Keynes the following season. In both of those games he seemed to find it easier to caution away players than home ones.

His third Southend match was the 1-4 home defeat by Swindon the season before last when he cautioned Timlin, Kalala and, for them, Macca.

His fourth was early last season and somewhat controversial. In the 2-0 defeat at Oxford he only showed two soft yellow cards. Unfortunately they were both for Timlin.

Finally, he was in charge of last season's home cup replay which we drew 1-1 with Bury, going through on penalties. He did fine other than yet another soft yellow for Timlin.

His yellow card count is well below average with just 60 yellows from 26 matches (9 in the Championship), which have also seen 4 red cards.

The assistants comprise a brace of Wiganers, Phil Dermott and Peter Gooch, with Paul Marsden from Preston as 4th Official.

I reckon there will be an enquiry if they both try to claim travel expenses - it's got be to be a car share surely !

IF he has booked Timms 4 times with one red .And itsv said maybe timlin should sit this one out .Then so should Conner Clifford .Because with his rash tackles hr is sure to get a red card under this ref .
