Not sure if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but Morecambe is holding its annual Carnival this Saturday so expect roads leading into the town to be busy, not sure if there are road closures as well. Maybe allow extra time for getting there. On the plus side there is an It's a Knockout contest morecambecarnival.org

It is a two day event, but according to this...http://morecambecarnival.org/carnival-guide....the procession isn't until sunday, so maybe not quite so congested.
