A point, just not enough. Ratings and all the other stuff here please.

Honestly can't fault the effort tonight, Morecambe are clearly better than us and if we weren't in such a desperate position we'd be saying this was a well earned point. Unfortunately we are in a desperate position and we needed more than a win.

Still though this was a good response to Saturday and whilst it's technically not in our hands I can't imagine Colchester and Grimsby winning every match til the end of the season so we can still get out of this if we keep our heads up, there are certainly 3 winnable matches in our last 6 fixtures (Crawley, Barrow, Col U) it's just a question of if we'll look at this and realise we are capable of beating them or if we'll let our heads drop. Hopefully it's the former.

TBF in itself not a bad performance- in the context of where we are another missed opportunity. Halford did alright as did Dieng but in reality the forward situation has killed us again.

In normal circumstances, a point away from home.. especially at Morecambe given our terrible record there would be a point well gained but unfortunately a point isn't enough in our current situation.

I appreciate the effort from all involved tonight though, was vastly improved from the weekends pathetic showing.

Thought the Halford experiment worked reasonably well if several weeks late. Apart from Dieng though he didn't get any support. ANG RHF and Ferguson were nowhere useful to be seen. Probably too little too late.

A million times better than Saturday, but as Saturday was completely unacceptable, today I would say is the bare minimum expected.

My major beef is with the goal. The goal itself was decent, but it came immediately after a promising attack where yet again we fail to get a shot away.

We attack with some urgency, decisiveness and good movement, we score a great goal.

We play the rest of the game in front of Morecambe like we do with most teams, we don't even get another half-chance on goal. Their defenders were hardly athletic, why not challenge them with some whipped crosses and runners in the box.

Zero movement and nous from our forward line haunts us again. Look at Morecambe's no.9 with his movement and link-up play, he made a huge difference for them tonight. Not to mention he's hardly afraid to shoot and gets his just rewards for having a go.

It seems we are too easily satisfied with a goal and adopt a what we have we hold mentality which is far too negative in our desperate position. Should have kept pressing for a second goal before halftime, it was obvious Morecambe would get the hairdryer treatment at the break.

Good effort and decent point in normal circumstances. It is not our away form that will relegate us though. Again we have conceded from only shot on target from opposition and Ox had little to do. Onto Creepy on Saturday and they do have nothing to play for. They may even have a more pedestrian midfield with Josh Wright. 3 points Saturday and we still have a slim chance, anything less and it is over. UTB

Predictable second half and usual, atrocious viewing. Morecambe not exactly amazing but clearly we were always going to concede.

Colchester will relegate us with 1 more win. Not in a million years are we getting to 45 points...

And yet that only bore the fruit of one goal too. Teams do actually defend too you know. It’s really not as simple as attack more so you score more. We had as much attacking intent as they did tonight, albeit they may have had a little more quality. But despite this quality it was still only 1-1.

I can't complain to much about tonight. Wasnt bad performance........ give Morecambe their due, they upped the gears in the second half and scored decent goal. Normal circumstances that's a decent point, but we needed 3.

I feel probably to much ask for us to stay up. Got to hope colchester keep slipping up!

That's so often been the case this season, however I didn't think we did that today. We kept pressing as much as we could but Morecambe gradually came back into the game. In Stockton and Mendes Gomes they had two very good players and we did well to keep them fairly quiet until that one chance which Stockton buried with as sweet a connection as you could hope for. We limited them to just one more shot on target while having three ourselves. Sadly a point isn't enough but it keeps us hanging on. Crawley's players are already on the beach by all accounts so we must have a good chance against them.......surely......
