Official Match Thread Morecambe v Southend United

Watching the darts was a good move then. In the last 21 games we’ve scored more than 1 just once, at FGR. Doesn’t matter how little we concede, if we don’t score we’re ****ed I’m afraid.

Thats the summary of the issue. We aren't bad at 3 quarters of the game, just the scoring goals (quite a major part of football) we can't do.

And thats why despite vast improvements in multiple areas we are going down.

Away from home we are decent and hard to beat at home we are dog **** sort the home form out.....ffs 4 wins from 6 needed

What annoys me is we scores a good goal by getting it wide, playing passes and crossing the ball. Once we scored obviously morecambe turned it up a gear but we ceased to try what had us in an even match

A vast improvement from Saturday: we looked focused, were pressing and chasing pretty much every ball. The line up worked out far better than most had predicted and whilst all we've taken is a point, it's still a better spring board to be going off into the next games than Carlisle was. It was a total lapse of concentration for their goal and I want to say "well we wouldn't have held out even if it hadn't gone in" but there wasn't much there from them for the rest of the game it must be said. One point from six doesn't look or sound good, but the decent performance tonight is something to build on and take with us.

A pity it's too late now,isn't it?

Molesley has 6 games to find a way of getting these players scoring goals and turning draws into wins. We need to be going hell for leather in every game now. 6 cup finals, time to roll our sleeves up. Let’s at least go down fighting, eh?

Can't criticise the effort from the majority of the players. Two bits of quality from each side brought the goals. On the face of it a point at Morecambe is a very good result.......unfortunately, in the context of our situation, it's not good enough. Our league status lifeblood is draining away. It's not even sufficient to win on Saturday, the other results need to go our way.

I think Crawley have nothing to play for and is probably the best game we could have , if we are up for it we should win that game , have to hope other results go our way and then the derby will be the biggest game for many a year

Waste of time all of it with him in charge.....need the three points and all that idiot does is swap like for like.....that Ipad has got a lot to answer for!

Ferguson is the biggest problem...worst thing he ever did was score the wonder goal...complete passenger most games!
....another one of Mark's signing's...he loves them big , strong and pretty hopeless.
