I was watching MOTD last night and saw that Bournmouth had Simon Francis (captain) , Federici , and Junior Stainislass in the line up .

It made me wonder what is the most amount of ex shrimpers (signed or on loan ), that have played together in the Premiership? Any advances on three?

I guess three won't be beaten, so how about, unless this has been done before, a team line-up made up entirely of players who went on from Southend to play in the Premier League. They've got to have played for Southend before playing in the Premier, rather than the other way around.

I'll start with a few obvious ones :-

Mark Gower (Swansea City)
Michael Kightly (Wolves, Stoke)
Gary Hooper (Norwich City)

This came up on twitter a few weeks back.

Peter Butler (West Ham)
Keith Jones (Charlton)
Brett Angell (Everton)
Stan Collymore (everyone)
Jason Lee (Nottingham Forest)
Stuart O'Keefe (Crystal Palace)
Chris Powell (West Ham, Derby, Charlton)
Simon Royce (Charlton)

Ah right, I guessed it had.

The trick now is to get them into a line-up and correct positions.

We seem to be top heavy on strikers and midfielders at the moment.

Currently we are playing 0-0-4-5

Off the top of my head in the Premiership era:

Adam Federici
Simon Francis, Spencer Prior, Leon Cort, Chris Powell,
Michael Kightly, Stuart O'Keefe, Mark Gower, Hal Robson-Kanu,
Stan Collymore, Gary Hooper
Subs: Junior Stanislas, George Friend

Yes,he was superb when he played for us and to prove what a great keeper he is ,he even got to play in the mighty Baggies' first team (one appearance in his nine seasons at the club!)

Steve Jones, who seems to be a common factor was at Charlton that season as well.

Possible one for 1992/92 season for Spurs: Austin and Edinburgh were regulars, loanees Andy Turner played 18 times, Lee Hodges 4 times and Paul Moran 4 times.

Three for Liverpool (although I'm pretty sceptical about this)
