Most powerful striker of the ball you have ever seen?

There are a few Thousand players who have hit a rocket shot in their career, but I can only think of Two that did it regular, and that's Bobby Charlton and Eusebio. Peter Lorimer was known for it, but didn't do it anywhere near as often as those Two.

I remember seeing Hasselbaink miscue a rocket at White Hart Lane in his Chelsea days that hit the top of the stand and came back down again. That was going to space.

i'll never forget phil gridelet being one on one with the keeper, near the end of the match we needed a goal to win the game, ive never seen the crossbar rattle so fast as it bounced harmlessly out.
Halcyon days.

I'm sure Rob Newman actually won a competition to see who had the hardest shot in England.

He had a missile.

Tony Yeboah, Stuart Pearce and Julian Dicks for me.

Arie Haan for Holland in the 1978 World Cup scored a couple of long range screamers - Google them.

But for SUFC, Leon Clarke and that aforementioned penalty, a Paul Byrne rocket v Norwich and Mohsni v Northampton from just inside their half are stand outs.

Yes 1978, great memories not just Arie Hann, what about that goal by Nelinho. Or my all time favourite world cup goal the Cubillas free kick v Scotland.

Unless you were about 14 at the time, never seen England in a WC and had watched the Jocks swing on the cross bars at Wembley. You could never understand how much joy that moment brought to us all.

Jeez Riggers, the 1966 World Cup memories. I was indeed 14 and watched the semi final against Portugal on a small black and white TV with my dad. When Charlton scored with an absolute thunderbolt you could hear the whole street erupt with joy and noise.

Roberto Carlos, watched him warming up before a game against Valencia years ago and he was amazing. No surprise he had power when you looked at his thighs!

Yes I grew up being told Lorimer had the hardest shot in Football. The thing is I hated Leeds at the time, still do in a way.
I found the Lorimer shot was as mythical as Scotland winning a Workd Cup.
