Moving help?

Looking for a bit of advice...

We recently moved and we rented a van to move ourselves. However, on the day we moved, I did my shoulder in and couldn 't manage moving a washing machine - as it involved carrying it down 2 flights of stairs at our old flat and up 1 flight of stairs at our new flat.

Anyway, I have 2 weeks to move the washing machine to my new flat and doubt I will be able to do it and there isn't anyone else around that can help out at the mo so was wondering, could I ask a removal company to move just the washing machine? This saves me a lot of messing about.

If so, anyone have any numbers for people in / around Southend?

I doubt a moving company would be interested. Maybe one of these "man with a van" people can help you out. Never used one myself but there are plenty of them.
