Mr Sturrock A Poetry Tribute

[Mrs Baylock]

I feel obliged to pay tribute to Mr Sturrock and the recent events surrounding his departure. Despite this being a very bad time of the year for me as you may well appreciate. I give you my poetry tribute to Luggy, a good man . I have kept this short despite the many events that have happened during his 3 year tenure.

Thank you Mr Sturrock
Your efforts are respected,
It really is a tragedy,
That results were not as expected,

We'll remember Mr Sturrock,
For his Match day tartan regalia,
For Wembley, The Morecambe three,
And a dodgy floodlight failure.

We're sure that you'll be working soon,
Be it Lincoln, Plymouth ( hopefully not Thurrock,)
For your integrity and dignity,
We Thank You Mr Sturrock.

there was a young man from Dundee
who dreamed of a final at Wem-ber-ley
at first he achieved
then he felt peeved
would not be him but the man from Delmontee

Paul Sturrock has been replaced with Phil Brown,
Ron Martin continues to act the clown,
But we'll forget all,
As this is football,
Especially if we win the JPT crown.

There once was a wee scot called Paul,
Who managed Southend at Roots Hall,
He nearly succeeded
But the warnings weren't heeded
Cos Ron sacked him for playing hoofball

not many people know Paul is a REAL hero - having saved a friend's life


there was a real hero from Dundee
who donated to a friend a kidney
his friend had been lacking
in internal packing
the opperation was a success but a bit fiddly

not many people know I made up the thing about Paul being a REAL hero - having saved a friend's life just because it sort of rhymes

There was an old man from scotland,
Who before the game was called off at spotland,
Was going to wembley
To get a victory
But now its only achievable in his dreamland!

This man had a son called Blair,
Something must of gone wrong with his Pair,
He tried to kick a ball,
Looked like a complete Fool,
And dont even get me started on the hair!

There was a man called Phil brown,
Who tried to steal Sturrocks Crown,
Backed by a Cook,
From Ron Martin he Took,
And he will probably leave us Letdown!

(It's just a poem, i am not negative about phillip!)

There was a man name of Bilel,
Whose put the team spirit though hell,
Sturrock tried to tinker,
But his tactics were a stinker,
And what's that odd garlic smell?

Paul Sturrock you done us proud
your name will be chanted at Wembley
by the blues voice and the rest of the crowd.

Ron Martin could have got it wrong
As he upsets the fans and gets them feeling down
But that's football
Step up Phil Brown !
