Mrs Baylock's Poetry Corner - Generally Speaking

Hello Shrimpers new & old - after the lamentable defeat yesterday it seemed to me that we were lacking that most sturdy & combatable elements of a successful team - Ie a midfield general (& a left back/winger & all action CB).
Here is my poetry plea to the all-mighty Ron to sort this out.

We need a midgfield general and we need him bloomin' quick
Cos without a midfield general this team is bloomin' sick (not in a good way)


We need a midfield general to run from box to box
Or possibly a hatchet man - or maybe a wily old fox.


We need a midfield general cos Timlins' mend ain't mended
& we ain't going anywhere until this teams amended.

We need a midfield general can't you see it's true,
To win the ball & hold it then pass it to a blue.

We need a midefield general cos Laird don't fit the bill,
Tam is too defensive & that other bloke's mentally ill

We need A midfield general but I do not know his name
For I'm an only an evil old woman
& poetry is my game (allegedly)
