Why is it so bl**dy loud?

At away grounds I've noticed that a lot of them play decent music and at a good volume, where you can hear it but you can also hear yourself speak without having to shout. At Roots Hall, they play rubbish music and at a ridiculously loud volume with all the big speakers around the pitch that means you have to shout to make yourself heard just to the person next to you.

From the Liaison Committee Meeting of 20 July 05:

"GK said that the problems arose when the soundman gets “pumped up” and turns the volume up. He said that he had asked him to be aware of the volume and asked for feedback on the sound system from the Trust."

So, something for the Trust to be made aware?

A bit loud. But I've never been a fan of the music they play. It's almost as annoying as that 'Easy' chant

I have to agree here, as a DJ you'd think that I'd like loud music, and yes I do, but this is way too loud,

Even my 17 year old son, who plays music in his room ar ear splitting volumes thought it was too loud

Personally, I find that the music is ridiculously loud in the West but about right in the East. Makes sense as all the directors and guests end up in the East.

Why can't they just turn it down a couple of notches. We have literally just given up on half-time conversation on occasions in the West because it's so much effort

I don't like the fact that they play music - what is the point in it anyway? And the 'Easy' chant is by far and away the most annoying thing in football.
