Musical input welcome, but not necessarily going to be acted upon!

So, as some of you know, I will be tying the knot again in October, and we've been set the task of coming up with some music to have playing in the background both for the ceremony and during the meal. We've managed to sort out the music for earlier on, and are part way through stuff for while people are dining.

Purpose of my post is to ask if anyone has any suggestions for decent background music. We want a mixture of 60s, 70s and 80s music that is both meaningful and isn't obvious, and, in particular, I'm looking for a Beatles track that's not middle of the road but would be suitable for the occasion. Top choice atm is "And I love her."

Cricko, I'm particularly looking at you here as yours and my musical tastes often cross over, but anyone's suggestions would be most welcome. We've got a bit of Madness, Barry White, Searchers etc so far, but the floor is open for ideas...

Tom Waits - Martha.

Beautiful song.

Thanks Pauly, that shall go on the "to be approved" list. Scott's......won't :nope: I struggle with the fact Kev doesn't like mainstream, so Seal's "Kiss from a rose" is a no go!

Go on youy know everyone will love it !!!!

You gotta have a bit of Donny Kay, what about Why

Lol Jackie, there has been a bit of debate over Love me for a Reason but the lyrics aren't great! Why might be a bit cheesy, I'll see what he says!

another way of saying "For better or worse" and "in sickness and in health" could be "with leprosy" or "without leprosy" .. On the subject of which a game of football between two colonies of lepers descended into violence after one player left his foot in after a tackle

You could just fill the entire meal up with grindcore.
