Memory Lane My father Trevor Roberts

This thread is outstanding! Thank you @Haydn.Roberts I wasn’t alive to have seen Trevor but the history of the club always interests me. I will have a discussion with my dad to see if he remembers him.

Much more interesting than reading what people are having for lunch. :Facepalm:
 
Sadly for us Rotherham drew Manchester United in the Fourth Round losing 1-0 in a replay after the first match finished goalless.

Their goalless draw at Old Trafford against a team containing George Best, Denis Law, Pat Crerand, Harry Gregg, John Connelly, not to mention two World Cup winners a few months later, Stiles and Charlton, was an outstanding result. They nearly matched it in the replay going down to a 115th minute goal.

In those days, I believe they did not carry forward draw numbers and we would not necessarily have got Man United away, as we have continued not to do ever since !
