No feelings either way for Lincoln but I fear that Tilly's career could be over if Lincoln don't match Barnets result this weekend. Hope it works out for him but my gut feeling is that they will go down. Have always liked Tilly just never convinced that he had all the attributes to be a 'complete' manager.

I agree.

Gutted to say this but I hope Lincoln stay up and I say that with really gritted teeth as I hate Lincoln.

Why would Tilson's career be over? That's a strange assertion.

Still good luck Tilly & Lincoln.

It will be 3 relegations on his CV and I think his 'complete' managerial ability will be in question. Perhaps Lincoln will stick with him if they go down and I hope they do but will not be surprised if they were to release him. I stated previously I liked Tilly but I think he has short comings in his overall ability. I think he would be a good number 2 but does not have all the qualities to be a number 1.

On the flip side, if he keeps Lincoln up, his CV will read:

Two promotions (2005 and 2006)
Two LDV Finals (2004 and 2005)
Two relegations (2007 and 2010)
Two relegation 'saves' (2004 and 2011)
One League Cup quarter-final

Which is still pretty respectable.

We shall see. I for one hope Tilson does it (a) for Tilly (b) for Brush and (c) for my mate Jay.

Seconded (well, less fussed about your mate Jay, since I don't know him).

Barnet v. Port Vale
Lincoln v. Aldershot

Neither away side really has anything to play for - Vale are three points but, crucially, 11 goals behind the play-off places; so you would need two extraordinary results (e.g. Vale winning 7-0, Stevenage losing 5-0) to turn that around. The Shots are comfily ensconced in mid table.

Unfortunately, the Shots are the away draw specialists, with only 6 defeats, but 11 draws on the road this season. Vale, on the other hand, have lost 9 times on the road this year, and only have seven draws. If Barnet win, and Lincoln only draw, Lincoln go down with their vastly inferior goal difference.

Sadly, that series of results is entirely possible - especially when you think that Lincoln have only scored 18 goals at home all season (and two of those were against us!). I will be keeping my eye on events at Sincil Bank and Underhill this Saturday... I hope he does it.

I think there would be plenty of lower league sides that would be happy with his experience. Can't say that I care one way or the other though about Lincoln's position except that we all know how their supporters will be feeling.

Can't see Lincoln going down myself.Barnet won't beat P Vale;recently saw them lead twice against Oxford and only draw.Consensus amongst the home fans I know there was one of their better home displays and yet still only took 1 point.Have a soft spot for the Bees, as my locals, but same token would not like Tilly to fail!......DILEMMA CITY!!

For either team it will be the 2nd time they will have dropped out of the league, I believe this has only been done by Darlington and Hereford before.

I've always had a soft-spot for Barnet and the away game there is one of the first I look for when the fixtures come out. Got to hope that Tilly does it though.

I am hopeful Tilly does it again and gets a full pre-season to mould and shape Lincoln the way he wants. I will feel sorry for Barnet though. But at the end of the day the league never lies.

Hopefully Barnet will stay up as great away day, especially in the middle of winter freezing your nuts off. Lots of good pubs near the ground.

Halifax and Chester i believe have "achieved" that .. think Hereford have only been relegated once

Lets hope Lincoln get the right results on Saturday. Tilly has had a difficult task, it is not easy when you take over a club and you have to soldier on with a poor inherited squad. He has only been able to bring in a few new faces, mainly loanees. It was similar for Gary Johnson at Northampton. You are stuck with lots of contracted players that you cant move on. It is fairer to judge someone when they have been able to release the players that they were lumbered with and bring in their own choices.

It doesn't look good for Lincoln, they have failed to score at home since they beat us, and also haven't won since they beat us. The only way they will stay up is if Barnet lose. Hard to tell if Tilly could have done more, from what I can see on their fans forum, Tilson has had next to no budget and so has been relying on loan players and the rubbish team he inherited. He should be given another go whether they get relegated or not, I'm not convinced he's right for the job but Lincoln chose to go with him, they should at least give him a chance to build his own squad rather than sacking him

Im afraid i am going against the majority and hope with everything that Lincoln go down, i hate them as a club, the ground, the fans and Lincoln is a **** hole. I was gutted and still am that Tilly is their manager, it makes me sick to say it but i hope he gets relegated and released , and is then snapped up by a more deserving club. Come on the Bsssssssss
