I'm so proud that we were once able to see him grace a Southend shirt....

The thing that sums him up is that at the time he made Conlon look good. Enough said.
In his defence he did score 2 at Orient so that is deserving of some praise.

Another dire Martin signing which we paid money for.

another thing in his favour is that he clearly plays football because he loves it. Same can't be said of many of todays 'stars' - though Neil was clearly never a star.

Went past Northallerton Town's "ground" several times over the weekend, I say "ground" loosely, the pitch may be marginally better than Stockport's at least.

I could tell during his time with the blues that he was destined for greatness, Im being sarcy by the way what a complete pile of dog **** makes matt Harrold look like ronaldo

I'd have thought he'd have moved on to modelling by now, his face is ideal for radio advertising.

good spot napster

He did score once in March for the club, and Northallerton qualify for the league table so I will add him to the hall of fame for the season... straight in at position 82 ahead of Scott Forbes and Shane Wardley

To put that into perspective, at Step 10 of the pyramid, which is Step 6 non-league, that would secure him a place on the substitutes bench for Basildon United Manor but not a starting place. Rightly so, too.

Saddened to hear of the news of the death of our former striker, Neil Campbell, aged only 45.

We send our deepest condolences to Neil's family and friends, we will celebrate Neil's life at tomorrow's game in the most appropriate way along with players wearing black armbands as a mark of respect.

Rest in peace, Neil.D6CE0EDA-B4C8-4F77-8181-3C91DE40EF31.jpeg
