Has today made his move from Nationwide Conference South side Basingstoke Town to BGB Southern League outfit Maidenhead United permanent. From http://www.nonleaguedaily.com:

Striker Neville Roach has had his contract with Nationwide South club Basingstoke Town cancelled by mutual consent and has agreed a permanent move to British Gas Business Southern League Premier Division side Maidenhead United.

Roach has spent the last three months at the Magpies on loan, and under this arrangement with the deal being made permanent may still play in their remaining fixtures, even though the registration deadline has passed.

In two spells with the Dragons, Roach clocked up 179 appearances for the club, scoring sixty-seven times.

Basingstoke manager Francis Vines' side travel to Weston-super-Mare this weekend, full of confidence after returning maximum points over the Easter weekend.

Victory in the South West, alongside defeat for their relegation rivals, could see the Dragons move out of the drop zone for the first time since September.
