NEVILLE ROACH has REJECTED the offer of a new contract with Nationwide Conference South side Basingstoke Town because he wantes to "pursue a fresh challenge", although he denies that he has signed for newly-promoted Eastleigh. Roach scored 22 goals last season as Basingstoke finished 6th and has claimed that contact has been made by "a couple of Conference National and Conference South clubs" but has refused to mention names.

The departure comes a few weeks after another ex-Shrimper ADAM WALLACE left the 'Stoke to join Windsor & Eton
