Need a new laptop as mine has seen better days.

Only really using it from web use and football manager. Can someone give me a steer what I need to have faster footy manager and better browsing.

Cheers chaps.

I haven't played Football manager for a while but if I remember correctly you want to go for lots of memory and a decent processor to run all leagues.

Forget Apple unless you have money to burn or are happy to not receive a reacharound.

Get something with an SSD drive in it. What's your budget and Windows preference ?

Thanks chaps.

Budget not really an issue and I can barely use a computer so I have no preference so would really welcome a steer on a good choice for my desired uses.
Cheers all.

We can tell from most of your posts :winking:

If you want windows 7, the look in the Dell Outlet and head towards the Latitudes in the Business section.

I picked up one just before Christmas (wife's present) for £380 (i3 processor, 4gb ram, 500gb hard drive, win 7 pro, 3year warranty). Ordered a SSD drive from Amazon and it's a very nice, quick and solid laptop.

Some of the units on there have SSDs already installed.

Press power on button and 15 seconds later it's ready to use, plus at the moment I get about 7hrs battery life.

Unfortunately the wife doesn't play football manager so I can't comment on usability!
