is there any new news anyone anywhere ??????????????????????????

I drove past the training ground the other day to see the dome parts had been painted a light brown colour. Or was it rust???

Got told the other day, Ron picked that dome up really cheap! And is hoping to sell it before even building for nearly 2 million which would go towards ground

Latest news on our new stadium/dome?! Now now, don't be silly..... this is Southend United you're talking about here!!

Nope, with no current planning permission and probable CPO's to sort out we are still years away from a new ground!
Still have not seen the latest revised plans that were supposed to be submitted earlier this year.

Where is the money coming from for the transfer fees / wages we've just committed to, aswell ? Were we banking on the sale of Dan Bentley ? All seems a bit cloak and dagger to me !!

Ron said the new plans would be out in june........what do you mean it's sept........:'(.....don't believe anything he says anymore he's lied to us so many times...last time at the agm

There's more chance of me sleeping with Katherine Jenkins than us building our new stadium any time soon.

Building demolished in Roots Hall Avenue (top of the Car Park). Is this significant? or is it outside the footprint of the Roots Hall redevelopment?

The latest i've heard is that a public inquiry is a real possibility and that we're looking at 2017 before any construction work starts. Also the council has particular concerns about the retail park and its detrimental effect on the town centre, plus the whole saga with Sainsbury's (who apparently no longer want a store on the site, but have helped the club financially) and then there's Prospects and its CPO to be sorted.

There is not even any planning permission in place anymore.

The S106 agreement between club and council has still not been agreed years down the line. Despite Ron saying it was "almost completed" 2,567,623 times. Same goes for the revised plans, the contractors, the legacy shirts, the naming of the stadium, the new backers, the hotel and casino operators, the CPO's the list is just ****ing endless.

The whole thing is a complete farce that has dragged on for over 15 years since Ron's first plans went in. How long does he want to build it?....and still no backlash from the fans or constant and applied pressure from fan groups?...Why?...why the ****ing hell is nothing being done?...Northampton fans kicked off about their new stand grinding to a halt for a few months, yet we sit here and do nothing 15 years later, bar a couple of teenage protests in the car park!...why is this man allowed to carry on unquestioned and not held to account?.....as a fanbase we are too bloody soft and happy to just let the club drift along, handing over money with no cares in the world about what may happen. IIRC Ron stated that the club would die if it remained at Roots Hall, does that not set alarm bells ringing?

Anyone remember John Main saying this.....In August 2001 former chairman John Main, ousted after a bitter boardroom struggle in 2000, warned fans that the proposal was not "financially viable" and that "there will be no stadium at Fossetts Farm and the future of the football club remains at Roots Hall".

How right he was. Come back John.

As a final note, I think its time some of the clubs "big hitters" from the fanbase/supporter groups etc got their bloody heads together and started working out an action plan here to get proper answers. A bi-monthly "Ask Ron" from Mr Kavanagh at Liaison meetings just takes the ****. I urge those of you with some clout and ideas to start the ball rolling. Enough is enough. This is our club and we deserve to know what is actually happening.

This 100 % I'm up for protests. The man can not deliver a new stadium....simple as that.
