Next Southend United manager odds!

Any reason why?
I am speculating but maybe it is simply because Neil Smith finds himself in a more much competitive contest for the Southend job than many of us anticipated when PB and CF were fired after the Chesterfield defeat.

Been thinking a bit since I posted about not being fussed who we got. As long as they have a passion and desire.
when I keep looking at the list of potential managers. Tisdale keeps coming up in my tiny pea like brain. I wouldn’t be disappointed if he is our next manager.

Not sure about favourites, and probably the true favourite/favourites aren't even on the betting list.

However, flip side I see people saying why are we considering Smith (so different to your favourite observation) when he has 5 years experience of this league with Bromley where he reached the 2018 FA Trophy final, led the club to 10th, 9th, 12th, 13th (on average points per game) and 7th when dismissed. On a small budget playing good football.

He also knows the NL locally and probably over the 5 years a bit about where to get some decent players.

So probably we could do worse. As I say my betting is it will be someone we have not mentioned.
10th, 9th, 12th, 13th, sacked doesn’t suggest much progression. If anything that’s going a bit backwards.

Has he developed much in the way of young talent? I think he may have sold Reeco Hackett-Fairchild to Pompey.
My model would be to go for someone who can spot and polish the hidden gems.

He got them promoted from the conference South, more than stabilised then in the national league and had some nice cup runs too.

Bromley would not be where they are now if it wasn't for him.
