Heading over from Ireland next Saturday for the Rotherham game.So I'm looking for a few ideas for what pubs/clubs to head to on the Saturday and the Sunday. Thanks in advance Irish Shrimper

Do not go out in Southend! It's a **** hole! Apart from the football team!

Where will I head to so? Not getting many recommendations here!

Depends what you want mate. I'd recommend the Pink Toothbrush in Rayleigh.

I believe that name is already taken, even though it's long not been seen on here

Mayhem and Chameleon are popular club choices, Varsity is a good pub in town, then there's the Last Post too or the Slug and Lettuce. Think they all have matches on. I'm possibly a bit out of touch though and you need to hear from the younger posters on here!

If you like proper beer try the Olde Trout over the road from Sainsburys at the top of town. If not try it anyway nice friendly pub with no bellends spoiling the atmos.

Depends what kind of night you are after mate, then I guess it depends on what music you like and age you are!!

You not just restricted to Southend of course, you also got many options In Leigh On Sea which is just down the road.

If you send me a PM and I am more than happy to ping you and e-mail in response to any questions

Depending on your age, club wise...

18-23 - Mayhem/Talk
21-28 - Element/Churchills
26-40 - DDVs

they arent actual age entries, more generic averages of the clientell
