Nile Ranger misses Blues game due to disciplinary hearing

SOUTHEND United striker Nile Ranger will miss tonight’s game at MK Dons due to a ‘disciplinary procedure’.

Ranger failed to convert a penalty at Portsmouth on Saturday.

And Blues boss Phil Brown will not be calling on the 26-year-old again this evening.

“Nile isn’t involved because of a disciplinary procedure yesterday,” said Ranger.

“It’s not for public consumption what’s happened but it’s just down to discipline and we’ll leave it at that.”

Ranger has been dogged by controversy throughout his career and was suspended for a month last season after a serious breach of club discipline.

The forward also missed the start of the current season after being sent to prison for online fraud.

Has he dragged Theo into this too which would explain his absence when he didn't do badly on Saturday?

Theo was on the pitch taking to Timlin before the players warmed up.

To be honest I’m not surprised he’s been disciplined after the weekend.

That penalty miss was criminal.

Bring back Frank Nouble. All is forgiven.

...Well everything bar Charlton away.

Really starting to think that it could do us a favour if this ‘discipline issue’ means we can terminate his contract. He is on a long and big paying contract and not really producing much in return.

Could this be our last chance to dodge this bullet

Said Brown.

Ranger's guilty of a lot but not talking in the third person.
