Sorry if this is old news to some, but it's new to me.

Nine Inch Nails have released an album for download, absolutely free. It's not even a "pay what you think it's worth" type arrangement. It's available in a range of formats, right up to 24-bit FLAC lossless and contains some very decent tracks.
