Southend United v Legendary Knights

Team Pld Won Tie Lost Points Net RR
1. Southend United 13 12 0 1 48 12.96
2. Legendary Knights 13 11 0 2 44 12.05

We can tell you that Southend United won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking quite cracked! A field day for the seam bowlers I would reckon on this partially cloudy and windy day.

I thought I had a chance...

End of Over 4: 7-4, runrate=1.75
Michelson 2-1-1-4
Hulse* 1 (1 balls)
Marney 5 (11 balls)
Last Wicket: Tyler c. Knight b. Michelson 0 (FOW: 6/4)

BATTY SHRIMPERS v Hubbards Hills CC

Winners will finish 2nd, losers 3rd. So we're playing for 20k effectively.

We can tell you that Hubbards Hills CC won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a bit on the dry side. A fair bit of help for the spinners I think on this partially cloudy and windy day.

End of Over 5: 24-0, runrate=4.80
Adamlebbe 3-0-13-0
Evelyn* 12 (18 balls)
Lindop 12 (12 balls)

DIBS DIPPERS (4th) v Seaside Special (1st)

So long as Mrs BB avoids a heavy defeat, she should stay in 4th place. SS can still be caught at the top if Mrs BB wins.

We can tell you that Seaside Special won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking quite cracked! A field day for the seam bowlers I would reckon on this partially cloudy and windy day.

End of Over 6: 13-0, runrate=2.17
Bancroft 3-0-7-0
Zubair* 3 (17 balls)
Titterton 9 (19 balls)

After we relegated them in yesterday in FC with our batting ineptitude, we get to inflict further pain on Muse's mob today.

UGTF are 4 ahead of us in third but as they're playing Crantock there's no way we'll catch them.

End of Over 7: 36-0, runrate=5.14
Raipur 4-0-10-0
Cunningham* 18 (24 balls)
Sinethemba 18 (18 balls)

Stumbled along, not as bad as it could've been.

The players are off the field for the break between innings.

End of Over 41: 118-10, runrate=2.88
Ahmed 6-0-16-2
Cahill* 1 (2 balls)

I think this scorecard gives a good clue as to how the ME works with regards to bowlers:

Raipur 10 0 24 0 0 0 2.40 phen/elite
Ducros 10 0 87 0 0 0 8.70 resp/feeb
Blake 10 1 20 1 1 0 2.00 mast/mast
Cawson 10 0 67 0 1 0 6.70 superb/prof
Tsietsi 10 0 57 1 0 0 5.70 superb/qual

With my old bowling attack (add a miraculous, masterful and exquisite), Raipur and Blake would never have gone for as little 44 between them from 20 overs.

van Niekerk 5 2 3 5 0 1 0.60 won/sens
Fisher 5.3 2 6 2 1 0 1.09 exc/sens
Allan 5 2 7 2 0 0 1.40 exc/mirac
Atherton 5 2 10 0 0 0 2.00 mas/exq
Ohalloran 1 1 0 1 0 0 0.00 qua/strong

Actually it was spin that was elite. (Atherton and Neeky). Seam was exceptional

And with your old bowling attack you would have cruised this game. As it is you're still in it, though another wicket would probably finish it. BFG is proving rather expensive and I rested Gustav for a youngster.

End of Over 25: 126-2, runrate=5.04, reqrunrate=5.28 (257-2)
Graham 6-1-39-0
Tsietsi* 68 (74 balls)
Prospere 7 (17 balls)

Last Wicket: Chill c. Harris b. Nadeeka 46 (FOW: 89/2)

Looks like I'm going to lose. 40 runs from 4 overs and BFG bowling like a complete spack. Next 10 overs are from my two trainees.

End of Over 31: 179-2, runrate=5.77, reqrunrate=4.16 (257-2)
Graham 9-1-62-0
Tsietsi* 91 (92 balls)
Prospere 35 (35 balls)

Last Wicket: Chill c. Harris b. Nadeeka 46 (FOW: 89/2)

Tsietsi is the only regular performer in my side. Weird considering how he's had similar and often inferior skills to other batsmen I've had other the past few seasons, but he's scored more runs at a quicker rate.

Sky Blues threw it against Stumpys so I'll be facing a play off!

Finished with a win after losing the first 6 games I won 6 out of the next 7! Got a play-off against a BOT.

3rd (us) vs 2nd (them). we won by 10 runs, stay where we are in the league but a great end to the season- 1st in FC and 3rd on OD, both in difficult leagues with not a bot in sight. will be interesting to see how we get on next year in FC VI.

I am but half of me wants to relegate so I'm not really too worried. Will give me a season where I can relax a little bit while Nadeeka gets up to speed. He'll be on 4 nets all season so is not going to be much use as a 5th bowler. Still hoping to find another all rounder but can't find any value at the moment, so wish I'd kept Marriott!! Need a £4m bargain like Dibs got.

End of Over 45: 217-1, runrate=4.82
Gustav 8-0-43-0
Sanghera* 80 (109 balls)
Brill 104 (119 balls)

Last Wicket: Stansfield c. Nadeeka b. Gulzar 30 (FOW: 65/1)

Thats my 3rd playoff loss in a row (league im in is pretty close so ive always dropped a game or 2 or not had the NRR to auto promote), but this the most baffling to me, they hit 316 and i got bowled out for 48.... i didnt think the ratings difference would cause such a thumping (my ratings on the right obviously):

Top Order:
elite
sensational
Middle Order:
remarkable
exceptional
Lower Order:
woeful
mediocre
Seam Bowling:
miraculous
exceptional
Spin Bowling:
useless
masterful
Fielding:
feeble
respectable
