Good start for Franchise in the early hours, beating a fellow Promtee by 11 runs, in my first game at PNG II level

My gentle start to the season continues as we get some batting practice against the sell up that relegated from I. Should hopefully mean some good gate receipts in the cup on Sunday.

End of Over 24: 176-0, runrate=7.33
Speed 2-0-15-0
Sargeant* 83 (69 balls)
Ahsamuddin 83 (75 balls)

Bot successfully bashed.

meakers-studs xi v BATTY SHRIMPERS II

The match is over. BATTY SHRIMPERS II won by 9 wickets.
meakers-studs xi 70-10
BATTY SHRIMPERS II 73-1

A nice 345 run win to start the season. Now to see if the franchise can pick up what would be a rare win in OD this season.

£1m for this with the franchise earlier - with the stamina it feels like a good price. Am using the franchise to try to gauge how important secondaries are, most players are quite a way behind primary.

Bradley Mokoena - 19 yo, BT Rating=28,565, Wage=£5,956
A cautious RH batsman and a destructive RFM bowler. He has feeble leadership skills and feeble experience. He has no preference and no trait.
He currently has superb batting form, strong bowling form and invigorated fitness.

Stamina: superb* Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: worthless Concentration: woeful
Bowling: quality Consistency: respectable
Fielding: mediocre

Playing the team that is likely to to be my main promotion rival. They're pulling 350+ batstats and I've rested my NT so I expect to lose. How times change, Sinethemba used to be the main man and now he's the sacrificial lamb at opener who I now want to get out before he burns up any more deliveries!

End of Over 14: 47-0, runrate=3.36
Sengupta 2-0-6-0
Sinethemba* 15 (41 balls)
Ahsamuddin 32 (43 balls)

BOT bashed already.

Look forward to tracking your progress against another new starting English team..... :winking:

Blimey, Franchise finally lost a OD match after 42 consecutive victories!

To be fair, it was vs the team that should run away with my division, so third place is probably still on

Comfy win today. All about the return game against Monkey Sloggers now (if I decide to try).

End of Over 47: 192-7, runrate=4.09, reqrunrate=18.00 (245-2)
Digana 9-0-33-2
Taqi* 84 (107 balls)
Awan 1 (2 balls)

Last Wicket: Bryan lbw b. Digana 0 (FOW: 190/7)

First team playing top of the table Mashermania. Alas they're far too good for me

End of Over 5: 24-0, runrate=4.80
Ohalloran 3-0-12-0
Gibb* 8 (18 balls)
Tshepo 16 (12 balls)

Lamacq is pricy but effective

Lamacq 1-0-10-1
Gibb* 26 (46 balls)
Winner 5 (2 balls)
Last Wicket: Tshepo c. Perry b. Lamacq 26 (FOW: 52/1)

Going well, but we had them 59/6 at one stage. This is the only other managed team in my div...
