OD - Week 3

Sky Blues are ticking along nicely in reply to my 253-7

Ramsden 4-1-13-0
Gall* 11 (24 balls)
Daniell 24 (24 balls)

We're giving this lot a right good shoeing !

Pardoes Pageantry v BATTY SHRIMPERS

Pardoes Pageantry won the toss and elected to bat.
Pitch: Green

End of Over 16: 97-0, runrate=6.06, reqrunrate=2.29 (174-10)
Wood 1-0-5-0
Evelyn* 48 (47 balls)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mrs BB off to a good start in her chase.

LeBon Rockets v DIBS DIPPERS

LeBon Rockets won the toss and elected to bat.
Pitch: Green

Bramall 5-0-41-0
Hutton* 21 (30 balls)
Potter 38 (30 balls)

Doesn't look good here. Suthers and Cooky unable to remove their main batsmen, can't see London or Downes doing it!

End of Over 17: 85-1, runrate=5.00, reqrunrate=4.79 (242-10)
London 2-0-10-0
Seargeant* 53 (51 balls)
Kewell 28 (50 balls)

Last Wicket: Roper lbw b. Cook 0 (FOW: 8/1)

no more wickets, but decent control means the RR is starting to drift in our favour. they have two dangerous all-rounders to come after these two though, so not settled yet by any means.

End of Over 20: 85-4, runrate=4.25, reqrunrate=6.13 (268-10)
Nkhangweleni 5-0-26-0
Holt* 35 (49 balls)
Malik 30 (49 balls)
Last Wicket: Grogan c. Barnes b. Cairns 0 (FOW: 24/4)

End of Over 24: 121-3, runrate=5.04, reqrunrate=4.92 (248-6)
Amsterdam 2-0-6-0
Rendall* 6 (10 balls)
Granville 43 (37 balls)
Last Wicket: Healy Run Out 45 (FOW: 112/3)

Poor performance with the ball from my bunch, and not much better with the bat. Davenport has again failed, it's the 2nd season running my best batsman has flopped completely every week, I'm sick of it, rubbish form. Need these two to take us to the 40 over mark at least.

Going to be a very pleasing win.

Pardoes Pageantry v BATTY SHRIMPERS

Pardoes Pageantry won the toss and elected to bat.
Pitch: Green

End of Over 30: 161-0, runrate=5.37, reqrunrate=0.70 (174-10)
Rossouw 3-0-21-0
Evelyn* 77 (87 balls)
Ricketts 78 (95 balls)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Looks like Mrs BB's game is going to go to the wire.

LeBon Rockets v DIBS DIPPERS

LeBon Rockets won the toss and elected to bat.
Pitch: Green

End of Over 24: 136-1, runrate=5.67, reqrunrate=6.04 (292-2)
Healy 2-0-17-0
Stride* 47 (39 balls)
Hutton 42 (65 balls)

Last Wicket: Potter lbw b. Ungapake 45 (FOW: 70/1)

As expected London and Downes are giving a steady stream of runs away without threatening. Going to take an almighty effort from Plums in 6 overs to give us any hope at all.

End of Over 27: 131-1, runrate=4.85, reqrunrate=4.87 (242-10)
London 7-0-35-0
Seargeant* 79 (85 balls)
Kewell 45 (78 balls)

Last Wicket: Roper lbw b. Cook 0 (FOW: 8/1)

End of Over 27: 135-5, runrate=5.00, reqrunrate=4.96 (248-6)
Collis 4-1-27-1
Granville* 52 (44 balls)
Thikhathali 2 (2 balls)
Last Wicket: Rennie c. Walton b. Amsterdam 2 (FOW: 124/5)

Crap. Lost this game, to a poor side.

great spell from Harmless puts us well on top.

End of Over 29: 115-6, runrate=3.97, reqrunrate=7.33 (268-10)
Harmison 5-1-17-2
Settle* 0 (2 balls)
Malik 46 (83 balls)
Last Wicket: Silk b. Harmison 2 (FOW: 110/6)

London lets 28 runs through in two overs and it looks like game over now.

May just write this season off, stay down in both divisions and get Mario and Plums trained so they can be fully active next season.

End of Over 31: 166-1, runrate=5.35, reqrunrate=4.05 (242-10)
London 9-0-63-0
Kewell* 66 (91 balls)
Seargeant 92 (96 balls)

Last Wicket: Roper lbw b. Cook 0 (FOW: 8/1)

Sums today up!

40.3 6 Cook to Hyron
I've never seen an all run six before! Terrible fielding, overthrows, great running... I'm tired just watching that!

Mrs BB on target for a good win

LeBon Rockets v DIBS DIPPERS

LeBon Rockets won the toss and elected to bat.
Pitch: Green

End of Over 38: 222-1, runrate=5.84, reqrunrate=5.92 (292-2)
Firth 6-1-41-0
Hutton* 82 (113 balls)
Stride 88 (76 balls)

Last Wicket: Potter lbw b. Ungapake 45 (FOW: 70/1)

Some tight bowling in the middle overs by Dodds, McIntosh and in particular Livingstone has put me right back into this game

End of Over 40: 164-4, runrate=4.10, reqrunrate=9.00 (253-7)
Livingstone 10-0-36-2
Monkhouse* 1 (1 balls)
Raettig 0 (0 balls)
Last Wicket: Bullivant c. Pembridge b. Livingstone 17 (FOW: 164/4)
39.6 W Livingstone to Bullivant
Oh dear! That ball was going well done leg side, until Bullivant got some bat on it. An easy take for Pembridge behind the stumps.
39.5 4 Livingstone to Bullivant
FOUR! Short ball, pulled away handsomely by Bullivant to the mid wicket fence.
39.4 1 Livingstone to Monkhouse
Played out to the backward point region. Griffith fields.
39.3 W Livingstone to Houghton
That has been bowled beautifully. It held its line and just found the outside of the bat. Pembridge didn't have to move to take that one.
39.2 . Livingstone to Houghton
Fullish ball outside off stump, firmly driven straight to cover.
39.1 . Livingstone to Houghton
A technically perfect forward defence there, but you can bet your house it wont be remembered at the end of the match. The scourge of the dot ball...

Unfortuantely Ramsden is now back on, and his last over went for 10.

Hopefully he can pick up some wickets, otherwise its going to be a very nervy finish.

42.5 . Ramsden to Edwards
Pitches outside off. Edwards shapes to drive through the covers but gets an inside edge to the on side.
42.4 W Ramsden to Lowe
Took a risk and just threw the bat at it, but unluckily it went straight to Montgomery, who took the easiest catch in the world.
42.3 W Ramsden to Apted
Bowled him! Oh what an error. Apted shouldered arms to that, but it's seamed back and clipped the off bail. He can't believe it.
42.2 4 Ramsden to Apted
That was a single stroke masterpiece!
42.1 W Ramsden to Raettig
Ramsden gets down quick and catches Raettig right in front of the wickets! Awesome catch!

End of Over 42: 181-4, runrate=4.31, reqrunrate=9.12 (253-7)
Mcintosh 9-0-33-1
Raettig* 10 (6 balls)
Monkhouse 8 (7 balls)

:)

End of Over 43: 218-6, runrate=5.07, reqrunrate=4.43 (248-6)
Rowlands 7-0-46-1
Thikhathali* 49 (61 balls)
Futcher 0 (0 balls)
Last Wicket: Granville st. Walton b. Rowlands 87 (FOW: 218/6)
42.6 W Rowlands to Granville
Big appeal for the stumping! Looks to me as though Granville has just dragged his back foot out of the crease playing that defensive stroke... the third umpire agrees and Granville's gone!

Game over. Been shafted here I'm sure, I look forward to seeing the ratings.

End of Over 42: 187-5, runrate=4.45, reqrunrate=10.13 (267-6)
Cowan 6-0-29-0
Raven* 72 (98 balls)
Sookram 23 (31 balls)

Last Wicket: Tapp c. Groves b. Huckerby 32 (FOW: 138/5)

Where's Napier when i need him!? Lol.

Shocking performance from my bowlers today and that has cost. In my first 2 games, Guy or Raven has come back on and skittled the tail but it didn't happen today!

Kev

Mrs BB's going to win barring a major collapse.

LeBon Rockets v DIBS DIPPERS

LeBon Rockets won the toss and elected to bat.
Pitch: Green

End of Over 43: 260-2, runrate=6.05, reqrunrate=4.71 (292-2)
Bexfield 8-0-52-1
Stride* 107 (91 balls)
Morgan 18 (10 balls)

Ratings don't mean much. Its all about the individual match-ups.

I rarely bother to ever check ratings. Instead look at BTR and wages.

ps Ouch.

43.6 4 Mcintosh to Monkhouse
Battered like a piece of fish, and Monkhouse's scorecard goes +4.
43.5 2 Mcintosh to Monkhouse
Short and outside off, pulled through midwicket but not timed and the ball pulls up two thirds of the way to the rope.
43.4 3 Mcintosh to Edwards
Un... deux... trois!
43.3 1 Mcintosh to Monkhouse
Wide delivery, late cut, deep backward point runs in to field.
43.2 4 Mcintosh to Monkhouse
Excellent shot he just opened the face of his bat and ran it to the third man boundary.
43.1 4 Mcintosh to Monkhouse
Magnificent shot, lad. Crisp and out of the middle of the bat, no chance for the cover fielder. Four runs.
