Have a guess....
Marsh Harriers (7th) v BATTY SHRIMPERS (8th)

Basement battle between the 2 pointless sides. Could do with a win, otherwise we might have to prioritise BT20 after our 3 wins this week :smiles:

Left out Andre to try and save some PFL, but he'll come back in for Lindop on Sunday.

Flat pitch and Sunny weather, so confident of chasing anything less than 290.

We can tell you that BATTY SHRIMPERS won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking like a road. As flat as a pancake. No help for the bowlers on this sunny day.

End of Over 9: 51-0, runrate=5.67
Job 5-0-20-0
Blizzard* 31 (28 balls)
Benitez 20 (26 balls)

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Southend (8th) v DIBS DIPPERS (2nd)

SZ derby, but with Muse selling up, a bit of a non-event other than how much NRR Mrs BB can gain.

We can tell you that Southend won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a bit on the dry side. A fair bit of help for the spinners I think on this partially cloudy day.

End of Over 9: 72-0, runrate=8.00
Jaffer 5-0-44-0
Zubair* 39 (26 balls)
Titterton 32 (28 balls)

Macacotopia County v Southend United

We can tell you that Macacotopia County won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking a bit on the dry side. A fair bit of help for the spinners I think on this sunny day.

Let’s join our team for ball-by-ball commentary.

End of Over 38: 175-2, runrate=4.61
Baxter 9-2-45-0
Mabuso* 13 (20 balls)
Newby 50 (52 balls)
Last Wicket: Jeffrey b. Cahill 50 (FOW: 135/2)

Welcome to Peruvian Farmers CG for the match between Peruvian Farmers and General Stars.

We can tell you that Peruvian Farmers won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a touch on the green side. All the seam bowlers have been out there rubbing their hands on this partially cloudy day.

End of Over 11: 43-3, runrate=3.91, reqrunrate=1.79 (112-10)
Ikramullah 6-0-23-1
Kealeboga* 21 (35 balls)
Toulson 0 (4 balls)

Last Wicket: Keates b. Ikramullah 4 (FOW: 41/3)

Cant see my total being enough tbh but Dibs did get them quite cheap in their game...

Looks like we'll be chasing about 280. Will be tight but we should do it.

As expected, Mrs BB racking up a huge score against Muse's threadbare attack.

we're similar to you, slowing down, run rate needed of 5.12 and currently on 4.2. However, no wickets down...

good old jeffers. on course now...

End of Over 43: 191-0, runrate=4.44, reqrunrate=4.71 (223-7)
Bond 7-0-41-0
Jefferson* 103 (126 balls)
Perry 80 (134 balls)
42.6 1 Bond to Jefferson
Steered to third man by Jefferson. Our scorer plots a single onto his wagonwheel and adds the run to the total.
42.5 1 Bond to Perry
Perry takes a quick single. Gatting returns the ball to Bond.
42.4 1 Bond to Jefferson
Bond curses as lax fielding by Oliver allows an easy single to Jefferson. When I played as a bowler, I was always more upset with sloppy fielding than a dropped catch. Human error can be understood, but slackness is unforgivable.
42.3 6 Bond to Jefferson
Straight out of the meat of the bat. They'll be looking weeks for that ball, it's out of the ground.

A nail-biting finish...

Marsh Harriers v BATTY SHRIMPERS

Pitch: Flat

End of Over 47: 263-3, runrate=5.60, reqrunrate=6.33 (281-9)
Giles 9-0-62-0
Ingram* 34 (40 balls)
Nagendranath 123 (116 balls)

Last Wicket: Downing lbw b. Frederick 29 (FOW: 153/3)

A comfy win in a very dull game that I was keeping an eye on whilst playing 36 holes on a Cancer Research Charity day.

They crawled their way to 170/6 from their 50 and we took an almost equally slothlike 44 overs to get there. Still, a win is a win and it looks like safety should be easily achieved this season. Brianstoke are going to walk it.

An easy win, to put me in 3rd with played three, won two, lost one.

Bowled them out for 65, with my 20 year old spinner taking the bowling honours
