ShrimperZone CC v Anything Goes

Batting first again and probably need to pick up the pace against a decent outfit.

End of Over 27: 130-1, runrate=4.81
Blackman 4-0-31-1
Lamey* 50 (65 balls)
Cunningham 8 (8 balls)

Last Wicket: Sinethemba b. Blackman 67 (FOW: 118/1)

It's been a good week for gate receipts! Shame I couldn't get the third day in FC.

31/08/2011 Played a First Class match (6755071) and received £99,558 in gate receipts.

BATTY SHRIMPERS (8th) v Paladins Of Purple (3rd)

Really need to start winning some OD games. Left out Lindop as he was at Lively, everyone else plays though. Looks like we'll be chasing a similar target to last week. Lets hope we make a better effort this time around....

We can tell you that BATTY SHRIMPERS won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a bit on the dry side. A fair bit of help for the spinners I think on this sunny day.

End of Over 28: 95-0, runrate=3.39
Wilkey 4-0-8-0
Clemence* 38 (87 balls)
Brush 52 (83 balls)

DIBS DIPPERS (2nd) v The Undutchables (5th)

Looks like Mrs BB is going to get back on the winning track after last week's poor performance. She's rested Eagles, who will replace Arnold in Sunday's Cup game.

We can tell you that DIBS DIPPERS won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking quite cracked! A field day for the seam bowlers I would reckon on this sunny day.

End of Over 3: 17-0, runrate=5.67, reqrunrate=1.17 (71-10)
Dodds 2-0-13-0
Titterton* 11 (9 balls)
Zubair 6 (9 balls)

Southend United (7th) v Reykjaví*k CC (8th)

We can tell you that Southend United won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking quite cracked! A field day for the seam bowlers I would reckon on this sunny day.

Let’s join our team for ball-by-ball commentary.

End of Over 50: 272-4, runrate=5.44
Metcalfe 10-1-47-2
Joost* 58 (58 balls)
Hulse 7 (9 balls)
Last Wicket: Tyler c. Eagles b. Metcalfe 1 (FOW: 256/4)

Welcome to The Buffoonery for the match between Bob's Buffoons and General Stars.

We can tell you that General Stars won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking a touch on the green side. All the seam bowlers have been out there rubbing their hands on this partially cloudy and humid day.

End of Over 50: 183-3, runrate=3.66
Ohara 10-1-42-2
Deane* 2 (2 balls)
Guy 89 (132 balls)

Last Wicket: Waterhouse lbw b. Ohara 4 (FOW: 180/3)

Not sure it'll be enough but this lot are rather good!

You were questioned by Bob on Sledging as to why you'd want to bat first, seems to be the common conception that chasing is better these days.

My game is very much 50/50.

End of Over 38: 164-2, runrate=4.32, reqrunrate=6.25 (238-2)
Charl 9-0-46-0
Featherstone* 60 (84 balls)
Goodwin 74 (98 balls)

Last Wicket: Rampaul lbw b. Digana 26 (FOW: 50/2)

Anyone's game. We have a Prof / Prof to come and then the bowlers.....

BATTY SHRIMPERS v Paladins Of Purple

BATTY SHRIMPERS won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Dusty

End of Over 40: 177-5, runrate=4.43, reqrunrate=3.30 (209-3)
Shaka 10-0-34-1
Locke* 21 (41 balls)
Andre 51 (71 balls)

Last Wicket: Ingram c. Burch b. Reddington 5 (FOW: 125/5)

Mrs BB wrapped a 10 wicket win ages ago, after her oppo semi-threw the game.

We lost, they made it home with 4 balls to spare, our total was never going to be enough in sunny weather.

Lost by 51 runs to the team top in my division, quite happy though I batted second and recovered from 54-5 to 251 all out!
