8th toss lost out of 9 and yet again we're batting first which in a tight game is generally a death knell. Though Sini has started well and losing Lamo may be a blessing as his slow innings cost us last week.

Legendary Knights v ShrimperZone CC

We can tell you that Legendary Knights won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking slow and low. Tough for everyone. Could be a low scoring match on this partially cloudy day.

End of Over 6: 31-1, runrate=5.17
Ahmed 3-0-20-0
Guneratne* 6 (12 balls)
Sinethemba 23 (15 balls)

Last Wicket: Lamey b. Michelson 2 (FOW: 9/1)

Playing a decent side, but one I always manage to beat. Bowling at them and keeping it tight

End of Over 26: 91-0, runrate=3.50
Atherton 6-2-19-0
Pienaar* 41 (86 balls)
Pook 44 (71 balls)

Too many wickets falling for us to be competitive I suspect.

End of Over 41: 185-5, runrate=4.51
Ahmed 9-0-36-0
Charl* 31 (43 balls)
Graham 10 (16 balls)

Last Wicket: Wanless c. Knight b. Gilks 15 (FOW: 172/5)

Bloody Jeffers fails to deliver.

Two run outs and a caught & bowled for my three wickets, not happy

We're not taking enough wickets here, they bat deep and are keeping up with the RRR easily.

End of Over 26: 125-3, runrate=4.81, reqrunrate=4.83 (240-6)
Nadeeka 3-0-12-0
Hickey* 18 (21 balls)

3 down, down to middle order, not looking positive

End of Over 30: 144-3, runrate=4.80, reqrunrate=3.80 (219-1)

Game was going away from us but a massive maiden over has helped. Just need no disasters from Nad's last over.

End of Over 43: 195-5, runrate=4.53, reqrunrate=6.57 (240-6)
Gulzar 7-1-38-0
Nkosinathi* 17 (23 balls)

Last Wicket: Hickey c & b. Nadeeka 28 (FOW: 155/5)

Im making hardwork of chasing down 184! Got Dibs all out but knew it would be tough on my pitch in PC&H conditions. Lost 2 wickets early on but Sookram and Guy nearly saw us home but lost the pair of them and Browne quite quick late on leaving Zamora and Cavanagh to finish it of. We need 1 run off the last over to win!

Kev

Won by 6 runs after being put in on a flat pitch in PC&H conditions. We stay in 2nd place.

As an aside, my one spinner Shashidhar is performing much better this season than last and against better opposition. After I changed him to a wrist spinner (he's defensive) the first two season seemed to be a huge mistake as his wickets all but dried up but this season he's my leading wicket-taker at the moment! Surreptitious match-engine tweek?

Lost by 6 wickets, batting first I set them 238 which was a few runs short as it turned out. They won with 7 balls to spare.
