The Spankers v ShrimperZone CC

5th v 6th but I'm on a dreadful run of 5 straight defeats. Desperately need a win to get the morale out of it's slump ahead of FC next week.

Won the toss and a decent start in sunny conditions, though we just dropped their star batsman.

End of Over 8: 22-1, runrate=2.75
Gulzar 4-0-16-0
Hatch* 9 (21 balls)
Young 11 (19 balls)

Last Wicket: Mawson c. Lamey b. Digana 2 (FOW: 4/1)

7.4 . Gulzar to Hatch
I say, Graham may well rue that mistake. Having been placed at silly mid off by the bowler, he's just dropped a sitter. Graham looks quite sanguine but Gulzar is muttering furiously to himself.

4th (us) v 5th

End of Over 16: 102-0, runrate=6.38
Smart 3-0-22-0
Perry* 47 (46 balls)
Jefferson 54 (50 balls)

could be an easy win this (famous last words)

oh Perry's gone for 47.

Me 6th doing surprisingly well at home to a team that is 3rd and should really be winning this division by miles. Currently 106 for 2 on a TiE with a couple of key players rested (in preparation for cup on Sunday) and also seeing off their 200K all rounder so far. Still expect to get comfortably spanked. Wont finish lower than 6th

Finally got the main guy out, now need to nick another one and we're into the weaker batsmen.

End of Over 29: 121-2, runrate=4.17
Nadeeka 8-0-32-0
Young* 63 (81 balls)
Genis 5 (15 balls)

Last Wicket: Hatch lbw b. Crossley 49 (FOW: 112/2)

King Kong Ding Dong (6th) v BATTY SHRIMPERS (3rd)

A game we should win today. Full strength side out on a GFI, as we're now out of the Cup.

Steady rather than spectacular start, but Polly needs to get his arse into gear.

We can tell you that King Kong Ding Dong won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a touch on the green side. All the seam bowlers have been out there rubbing their hands on this sunny day.

End of Over 30: 125-0, runrate=4.17
Samson 5-0-20-0
Pollock* 51 (104 balls)
Tyas 67 (77 balls)
