Up Goes The Finger v ShrimperZone CC

I sense a 300+ score is going to be needed to win today, solid start but need to up the pace.

We can tell you that Up Goes The Finger won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking like a road. As flat as a pancake. No help for the bowlers on this sunny day.

End of Over 20: 112-0, runrate=5.60
Ahad 5-0-24-0
Sinethemba* 53 (54 balls)
Cunningham 59 (66 balls)

Southend United v 2nd Chance

We can tell you that Southend United won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking quite cracked! A field day for the seam bowlers I would reckon on this sunny day.

Set the three of the top four to attacking, and whilst scoring at a run a ball are out. One bowled and two run outs.

End of Over 19: 117-3, runrate=6.16
Lund 3-0-14-0
Joost* 24 (32 balls)
Tyler 20 (16 balls)
Last Wicket: Wright Run Out 31 (FOW: 93/3)

Expecting a win today, need it aswell!

End of Over 31: 186-1, runrate=6.00
Platt 9-1-26-0
Mehar* 91 (97 balls)
Wasserman 45 (63 balls)
Last Wicket: Robert c. Bhutia b. Stratford 37 (FOW: 66/1)

Playing the team who are bottom, who have lost every single game. My bowlers are keeping it tight

End of Over 37: 110-2, runrate=2.97
Capp 5-0-17-1
Mills* 10 (36 balls)
Brackenbridge 41 (59 balls)
Last Wicket: Kathale lbw b. Capp 42 (FOW: 75/2)

low total posted. should be beatable

End of Over 50: 175-2, runrate=3.50
Capp 10-0-41-1
Mills* 50 (73 balls)
Brackenbridge 65 (100 balls)
Last Wicket: Kathale lbw b. Capp 42 (FOW: 75/2)

Well I wanted over 300 and my openers provided it, 2 wickets finally falling in the final over.

End of Over 50: 306-2, runrate=6.12
Shakes 10-0-47-2
Helmsley* 4 (3 balls)
Cunningham 156 (159 balls)
Last Wicket: Guneratne lbw b. Shakes 0 (FOW: 301/2)

The best I can say about my total is that it would sound good if Richie Benaud read it out.

"Geoff Boycotts' Grandmother's XI racked up two-two-two for two. Marvellous stuff there from Bertie's Boys to restrict them to two two two for two, I'm just off to find another bottle of claret and Bill Lawrie, will you please stop that pigeon from crapping all over the scorecard"

should be good for the win here after two monster centuries from Hammers and Pasta. Devine expensive as usual but backing it up with top-order wickets today, so i'll let him off.

End of Over 24: 135-4, runrate=5.63, reqrunrate=7.38 (326-3)
Devine 7-0-50-3
Camilleri* 56 (66 balls)
Stephens 0 (2 balls)

Last Wicket: Lock c. Odonague b. Devine 45 (FOW: 135/4)

End of Over 24: 129-0, runrate=5.38, reqrunrate=1.81 (175-2)
Ganfield 2-0-8-0
Jefferson* 84 (72 balls)
Perry 43 (73 balls)

Go Jeffers

They're probably ahead at this stage. Need a very tight 30-40, we nearly had them over 7 but the last few overs have proven expensive.

End of Over 25: 148-1, runrate=5.92, reqrunrate=6.36 (306-2)
Marriott 6-0-31-0
Lloyd* 20 (15 balls)
Davies 86 (80 balls)
Last Wicket: Bernard c. Lamey b. Benjamin 40 (FOW: 106/1)

Following on from my previous post, I'm getting shat on like Benaud's scorecard.....

Every time I think I've pegged them back we spunk a load of runs. Our chances fading rapidly.

End of Over 33: 200-1, runrate=6.06, reqrunrate=6.29 (306-2)
Marriott 10-0-56-0
Lloyd* 42 (37 balls)
Davies 116 (106 balls)
Last Wicket: Bernard c. Lamey b. Benjamin 40 (FOW: 106/1)
32.6 4 Marriott to Davies
32.3 4 Marriott to Davies
32.1 4 Marriott to Davies

Done- Devine got a 5fer in the end, taking out 5 of the top 6.

And that's the end of the match. Pettefershire CCC won by 173 runs.
Pettefershire CCC 326-3
Run Out Of Ideas 153-10

They made it in 47 overs, we never had enough on the board. Not unexpected but another bad week and with double Parkway in a couple of weeks it's not going to get much better!

Won by 8 wickets. Chased down 305, and got them off the last ball

Mrs BB lost by 7 runs
