Well that put the tin hat on it loosing Timlin to a broken leg .Now of all the players Cresswell gets himself sent off for what sounded like nothing more than handbags . So now we lose him for the next three games .And one being the most important match for the club next two league games and Then Borient . Of all the players to get sent off for what sounded like nothing . He would have been the last player I would have thought of :omg:

Heat of the moment things...Cresswell gets elbowed (unpunished by all accounts), and reacts with a shove in the back directly in front of the 4th official, who summons the Ref and advises the Red card... Seems the way things are in professional football with players and refs who are "instructed" from the powers to be, to be tough! (never happened 20 odd years ago in the professional game!
Timlins last too bookings are also an example...against Oxford...free kick to them,Timlin fails to retreat 10 yards before kick taken, strikes his back...yellow card, and against Borient, cynical kick of the ball away (not hoofed, just 5 yards), when the ref gave them a free kick...yellow card!

Just wonder if the club may appeal to try to get card over turned

By all accounts, Sturrock has said in a post match interview that it was probably a sending off, but felt action should have been taken on Gray for the elbow on Cressy.

Looks likely no appeal then...

No excuses - silly red card. If it wasn't Cresswell but one of the lesser admired players(Straker, Spicer etc) then people would be going crazy!!!

Totally agree Cresswell lost the plot. Would imagine he will pretty short in his wage packet this week when Sturrock gets hold of him. To cap it all he couldn't miss a harder and more important 3 games.

Should face a small fine...At least our defence and keeper seem in form ahead of the Orient game. The squad players are going to have to step up, and with a lack of reserve games, they probably aren't going to be match fit!

According to Chris Phillips earlier today both Eastwood and Benyon are injured at the moment but Benyon is likely to leave soon.

With Britt, Corr, Tomlin, Benyon, Harris, Eastwood, and Lavery on the books as strikers things looked so good...then bang! Injuries to Tomlin and Eastwood, out of form Benyon and Harris, leaves us with just Britt and Corr, with support from Lavery is all we have right now!

To be fair this feels out of character for Cresswell, where Mohsni you were always expecting it as he lost control so often.....

Still very stupid and he has let us down at a vital time.
