Age has nothing to do with it. ability does. Who on here wouldn't swap Dieng for McCormack for the last 6 games.

When Lawrie McMenemy was manager at Southampton he used to sign older players and always say they were class .

Yea but Kevin Keegan, Mick Channon, Dave Watson, Charlie George & Alan Ball were all internationals! Not really the quality of older player we are likely to attract!!

But we are not playing Premiership every week, so if they are old and good enough for Div 1 or 2 sign them, problem is in lower leagues, many just want a last pay off and easy money

Hmmm ...... Mick Channon was Acquah's age when he scored his first Div. 2 (Championship) goal for Southampton.
