New shop called timeless opposite the Oakwood pub in Eastwood. Not been in there but from the outside looks as if it contains all the old favourites. Mmmmmmmmmmm aniseed balls, mmmmmmmmmmm winter comfort, mmmmmmmmmmm sherbert fountain, mmmmmmmmmmm ................

There's a lovely shop down the High Street opposite the Royals that does all the old fashioned sweets, not just lemon but several variety of bonbons, sherbert pips, bullseyes, cinder toffee etc and also one that's just opened recently in Eastgate by Burger King, although that's not got as good a range. You can't beat old fashioned sweets!

Theres also one in the Broadway in Leigh, proper milk bottles dusted with that floury stuff

Speaking of sweet prices - I just spent £3.34 on 2 packs of m and ms, a 3x12 dairy milk bar, a pack of skittles and a pack of fruit tella.

Bloody ridiculous, thinking about it like that. What happened to the days when you could go up to Harvey's just on the corner of South Avenue with a quid and come back with your pockets stuff full of goodies?
