Oldham are in good form atm. looks like they are doing what we did last season. worst time to play them but if we are serious about getting in the playoffs, nothing less than a win is acceptable

My correspondent tells me that Latics were truly awful last Saturday when losing at home to Gateshead, in a fixture played at Boundary Park because of work required to Gateshead floodlights. He said that a repeat performance would see a win for Blues. The disenchantment with Unsworth is widespread so Blues need to be on the front foot from the off. An early Blues goal would be ideal to increase the pressure on manager and his team. But we have seen it all too often in the past when Blues face a struggling team who then produce an out of character performance and get the points. So which Latics team will turn up? The one which lost at home last Saturday or the one which thrashed Dorking 5-1 away the week before? No Clarkey to torment us but ex Braintree striker Mike Fondup-Talom has been getting some goals recently. If the game is on then it will be tight I reckon with the odd goal in it. COYB
