Really is splitting hairs trying to pick between either side. The game will be won and lost in a handful of key moments.

I look at the overall play, if we keep making chances, generally we win if the defence holds firm. Wembley is a big pitch and i fancy us strongly, Oldham fans are in for a shock if they think we'll be like York with rabbits eyes caught in headlights. They'll come up against a Southend prepared to fight and battle for everything and play down those big Wembley wings.

yeah i bet most Oldham fans will disregard it. In fact ive not heard them discuss it. In that case, quite happy to be playing a team that barely know each other's play and a fanbase that expect to roll over us. We love being underdogs.

I have watched a fair few of Luke's podcasts. He took a very real informed approach when he interviewed Justin Rees a few month ago. I enjoyed watching that, and fair play to Chris, the Oldham fan, who seemed very down to earth and fair minded, as well as light-hearted. I will try to catch the follow-up tomorrow, when it will feature a Southend fan.

I'm very worried that you'll have more legs & ultimately you'll out run us. Maher has had our number in the last few years. So any latics fan going in full of confidence is lying to themselves.

But I'm not worried that the game is too big for us. Monthe has played in 4 Wembley Play off finals & won 3. Garner has won 1, Norwood won 2 of 3, Corry Evans captained Sunderland 3 years ago at Wembley & obviously we have a manager who's done it all before.

As a club, our recruitment strategy has been built for the play offs IMO. Filled full of experience & players to turn up for a big game. If we lose, it could be a long long time til we are back with a shout of promotion.
