Collis signed for Buxton FC today

definitely good days but if only more people could have realised it at the time.:headbang:
the opening league results that season were distinctly mixed:

H Orient L1-2
A Leeds L1-4 groans from southend fans present when team announced with bradbury and harrold up front
H Millwall W1-0
A Brighton L2-3 conceding two late goals after having been 2-1 ahead

discussions on shrimperzone about whether it was time to give Steve Tilson the chop
we soon recovered but then hit a mid-season wobble.
more discussions on shrimperzone about whether there should be a campaign of booing of players (some chap called bailey was exempt as apparently he was the only one who tried)

I know I'm like a broken record on this but why why why were there so many moaners during that era
