Online Ticketing System Available

Lucas D

First XI
The online ticketing system seems to be up and running on Tickets.com, however, you can't choose what seat you want only the stand!

I want the old system!

That's a bit pointless, isn't it.

Might as well just ring up the ticket office! At least you can specify a seat!

I don't think many clubs have got decent online ticketing systems, so we're probably not the only ones!

I did ring up the other day and quoted my seat number because i was after a seat behind for a friend for the Forest game and guess what its behind me but 25 seats over!!

That site is terrible, I do sincerely hope it is still in the embryonic stage!..

... and you have a seat behind as requested ! You clearly did not specify your requirements quite precisely enough. No matter with the noise of the PA you wouldn't be able to talk to them anyway!

Most on-line booking systems for sport or theatre do NOT let you pick a seat. You're offered one or more and you either accept or decline ("start over again" in our new system).

I wonder what criteria they use for the order in which tickets are offered?

Just had a look and can't see me ever using it having always used Seatbooker before.

Quite frankly I dont want to sit in row B seat 36.

I assume it starts bottom up. I've tried it twice and got the same seat.
Looks like another ticketing OG by the club. Do they ever consult with the fans as to what we want or do they always know best?

Oh and there is now an additional charge of £1.50 per ticket instead of per transaction..there's inflation for you.

Well I hope this is only an early version of the site or otherwise I think the club have made a HUUUUUUUUUUGGGGE step backwards in their ticketing service. Until I got my season ticket this year I always swore by seatbooker, the best feature being that you can pick your seat an just about make a good judgement call on pillats/posts.

So the club are encouraging us to buy tickets in advance to avoid a repeat of Saturdays scenes and they serve us up this new half assed ticketing service. Also I've realised that the club are saying that we will save money by getting the tickets online, however when you add on the card handlers fee of about £1.50 it's still the same as the matchday price.

Exactly - surely if it was 100% up and running, there'd be a message on the Official Site confirming this, plus a link to tickets.com? Let's not be too hasty in rubbishing the new on-line system until we get official confirmation that it is ready.

looks major backwards step this one. Not being able to select a seat is a nightmare (especially with our ground having lots of posts to get in the way). Having been a regular I knew what seats were good and bad so could select as required , this current system presumably picks the lowest ones available (for Forest I got row B 5&6 for the family stand - far too low so didnt order them), I tried again but got the same seats and as for £1.50 extra per ticket a huge rip off (it now costs more to buy in advance online than on the day (£19 in advance / £18 on the day!)

the old system was pretty bloody good..
for my occassional visits to the hall its was a great hassle free way to get
up to 8 of us sitting together where ever we wanted to...
take the forest game, i reckon up to ten of us would have been up for that on the sunday, but when you have to trek down to the ground to get the seats you want or take the lottery of sitting anywhere you just dont bother.. ok, for you diehards its not such a big deal, but for the occasional 'big game' fan or those travelling from afar it seems such a backward step....
some of you may not care about the occasional fans who turn up here n there but they are still a useful source of revenue.. especially with the amount we drink..:;): ...
the easier you make it the more people will come

found a slight way around choosing your seats by opening tickets.com in a new browser window - by the 4th attempt (it keeps your original selection on the previous 3 attempts for 15 mins) I am now upto row D instead of B
