MANSFIELD Town yesterday signed striker James Alabi on loan from Stoke City.
18 year old Alabi goes straight into the squad for tonight's game. He is yet to appear for the Potters' first team and spent time on loan at Scunthorpe last season, scoring once in 9 substitute appearances. He has also previously spent time with Celtic.
In other news, The Stags will be boosted by the return of first-choice 'keeper Alan Marriott following a back injury, while player/assistant manager Alan Murray will not be considered following his dispute with the club and is at present training with the youth team. Centre-back and former Blues trialist Ryan Tafazolli could also be in contention to start tonight
James Jennings could return to the starting line-up having served a one-match suspension for recieving 5 yellow cards this season. On the other hand, The visitors will be without John Dempster (Suspended), Martin Riley (Achilles) and Chris Clements (Achilles)
