Demos all over Europe breaking out in support of Charlie Hebdo. Cards saying Je Suis Charlie being held up in Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam and Trafalgar Square.

From Wikipedia:

Controversy arose over the publication's edition of 9 February 2006. Under the title "Mahomet débordé par les intégristes" ("Muhammad overwhelmed by fundamentalists"), the front page showed a cartoon of a weeping Prophet Muhammad saying "C'est dur d'être aimé par des cons" ("it's hard being loved by jerks").

Think the gunmen have just validated what the cartoon said.

Once again religion is at the root of innocent people being murdered. If only people around the world got real and remembered that all religion is man made, and most at a time when weird things happening were not easily explained. Thunder and lightning was the God or Gods being angry for example. People were simple back in those days and were looking for something to believe in as everything seemed like a miracle. How do those flowers grow? Why is there day and night? How do fish and other creatures survive under water?
So when someone very intelligent comes along and says it's because there is a God, and he has spoken to me, and says we should live like this and like that, there was a huge amount of people willing to listen and follow his rules. It's when you look at some of those rules that you see some big benefits for the messenger hidden amongst them.
The other thing is that the magazine mocked all religions, using freedom of speech in a democratic country that they want to live in.

This terrible atrocity is the worst terrorist attack in Europe since the Christian terrorist Anders Breivik murdered 77 socialists in Norway. This new appalling act is also sickening.

According to a source that even a bedwetting pinko like you would trust, Anders Breivik is not a Christian.

But you keep telling yourself that all of these 'fairy tales' are the same, and thanks for the green rep, much appreciated!
