Our reserve team on the other side of the Thames have put in a bid of £150K in an attempt to tempt The Daggers to part with Paul Benson. This is according to the Sun, but I wouldn't be surprised!

You know how there is some scepticism about Adam Barrett's "I'm a shrimper born and bred" claims (such talk is sacrilege in my eyes!)? Well there's absolutely no doubt where young Mister Benson is concerned: I remember watching him kicking a can around the West Stand back in the days, and his old man Charlie is SUFC through and through...

I've always thought that getting a "fan" in the team gives you a player that will always play that bit better, and give that bit more...

Maybe I'm just being a sentimental old fart, though! ;-)

I believe so. There's a reason for everything, including why that paper is so cheap.

Perhaps the fact Paul has been to SUFC 3 times and each time he has been let go might have some bearing on his not coming here. (According to someone who knows him well!)
