Sorry if this has already been posted, but there's a pretty good feature on Sturrock in the Autumn issue of the LMA mag 'The Manager'.
Talks about how things have been in the 10 years since he revealed he's got Parkinson's. Southend mentioned:
"It was interesting to see how difficult it was for me to even get an interview, never mind an opportunity, he says. "And in the three interviews I did have, the subject of Parkinson's was always the first thing that came up."
Thankfully, though, the powers that be at Southend were willing to look beyond Sturrock's condition and focus on his managerial record, and he signed a three-year deal with the Roots Hall club in July.
