PAYE overpayment/underpayment.

What's this about? British Tax problems never reached Fox TV or ABC in America. In fact nothing outside of the State reached American TV "news" shows.

Rumour has it that the underpayment requests aren't enforceable, so if you are told you've underpaid and to cough up... just ignore?

(this is just a rumour, and Pubey does not take responsibility for any posters following this rumour)

This will only affect people who have more than one employment, or have left a job and started another without giving the new employer their P45.

And Pubey, the underpayment requests are enforceable (this is the Government we are talking about!!) although anything £2000 and under will be taken via your tax code and not actually payable.
