I imagine Kieron Richardson played in CL with United? Pretty sure he's a free agent after leaving Villa?

If Coker is going nowhere and we sign a left-back it will only emphasise just how stupid Brown is in the transfer market.

Kyprianou has done alright when needed, White and O'Neill can both play there if required too. Absolutely no need for it unless it's just to inflate Brown's ego a little bit more.

Yep, no idea why this is even being considered at the moment.

Just started to get a settled squad.

If it's a fairly attacking left back who is likely to provide more creativity than Coker is at the moment then it could prove a good move. Lets face it, Coker has been out of form for some time now.

Whilst not a priority if the left back in question is better than any of our current options (including Coker) why would it be a stupid signing?

Any manager should always be looking at ways of improving the team/squad.

Harry K is essentially a left wing back playing as a left back. I know he has scored 2 goals but his defensive game needs a lot of work. If Coker was injured or off, I wouldn't want Harry at this stage as being the number 1 LB.

Blues boss Brown offered international left-back

SOUTHEND United manager Phil Brown has revealed he could be bringing a well known left-back to the club.

Always happy to see the squad being strengthened ........ and Coker was injured for part of last season .......... but do we need another left back?

Doesn't hurt for us to have a look at him in training, why not? He'd have to be good to displace Coker though.
